About the department
You will be a part of the Novo Nordisk insulin production and assigned to the world’s largest Insulin API facility located in Kalundborg.
You will be employed in a production department with responsibility for the production processes fermentation and recovery, a department with around 120 colleagues divided into five teams handling the productions of in market products and products in trial phase.
You and two other interns will support fermentation and recovery in designing a cleaning robot for our large fermentations tanks. The robot should be operated from the man hole and be able to take surface samples of the inner side. The objective of the internship is as follows; Analyze and specify the requirements for the robot, develop concepts and preferably develop a basic design proposal for a prototype. You will be supported by a team of Novo Nordisk employees who know all requirements but need your help for identifying relevant suppliers of robot as well as understanding robot technologies and possibilities.
We are looking for three interns with passion for robotics, manufacturing processes and prototyping. Two of you are currently studying Engineering with specialization within Mechanics, Mechatronics or Electronical Engineering. One of you is currently studying IT and Economics and knows how to develop a sound business case. An advantage would be if you have experience performing experiments and structured idea generation.
As a person you possess at drive to work both independently and in groups, are not afraid to consult colleagues/experts and are able to change track when findings show that it makes sense. You are able to communicate even complex information in easy terms in both Danish and English. Last but not least you have a good sense of humor.

• Internship period: 20 weeks with start in February 2019
• Working hours: Flexible (37 hours a week)
• Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
• A Danish full time work permit is required
