Internship or project within cooling system 061/063

Project Description / The position
Create conceptual data driven scenarios for cooling systems 061/063. The main focus is to create a sustainable, energy efficient system that provides cooling at 9 degrees Celsius. The overall cooling system consists of air cooling and chiller cooling, along with regulator valves and bypass valves. The objective is to have a coherent, automated system that provides a constant temperature to customer in a combination of the systems depending on outside temperatures. Design should incorporate as many of the existing current systems as possible, to minimize project downtime and cost. Furthermore, end project is to be simple to understand, regulate and use. A redundancy capacity used for maintenance and breakdowns is to be around 20%.

– Develop up to 3 designs that differ in cost, complexity and range of solution.
– Objectives; one point delivery of 9 degrees Celsius, usage of current setup made smarter.
– End product should serve as a charter basis for engineering companies.
– If possible, level of detail should include selection of equipment to be bought. Expected downtime of existing system, and phase break downs of project.
